PARA TODO MAL...PARA TODO BIEN: PARTE I
A fifteen-minute dramedy set in "the not too distant past" of Havana, Cuba: a romantic tryst between Tomás, a Cuban tattoo artist; and Abigail, an American visiting Cuba as an illegal tourist. Abigail believes that Tomás does not speak or understand English and all communication is in Spanish. However, Abigail’s Spanish is not very good, and thus, a lot of confusion occurs over what she is trying to say versus what she is actually saying. To further the cultural misunderstandings between the characters, Abigail brings Tomás a bottle of Mezcal (liquor from Mexico). By the end of the film, the bottle of Mezcal serves to get Tomas and Abigail out of a difficult situation.
Un corto de quince minutos, tiene lugar durante el “pasado no muy lejano” de Habana, Cuba. Es una cita romántica entre Tomás, un tatuador de Cuba, y Abigail, una turista americana, llegada a Cuba ilegalmente. Abigail cree que Tomás no entiende ingles y así todas las comunicaciones ocurren en español. Pero, el español de Abigail no es muy bueno y mucha confusión ocurre acerca de lo que está tratando de decir. Abigail trae una botella de mezcal (licor de méxico) a Tomás. Al final de la película, la botella de mezcal ayuda a protegerles de una situación difícil.

Director Stephanie Gardner reverts to her real life experience traveling through Cuba and merges the footage shot for the narrative film with her own ideas about travel, tourism, Cuba, and mezcal.
