Ana Maria Carmo was born in Lisbon, Portugal.  She is a journalist and writer living in New York since 2010. After studying Communication and Media, she worked as a publicist for artists, record labels and cultural organizations, and as a journalist​.​​

After moving to New York, she started writing about the art scene in New York and published several articles in Portuguese newspapers and magazines, including Público, Visão, Up Magazine and Vogue. She also collaborated with the Portuguese International TV Channel RTPi and worked for the United Nations Radio.

 

Earlier, in Lisbon, almost in a parallel universe, she joined the community theatre group (teatroàparte) of her neighbourhood, where she acted for 11 years, and helped on the production and promotion of the shows. She also participated in three short-movies.

Pedro Carmo

Pedro Carmo is an actor from Lisbon, Portugal, where he has worked in film, television and stage for twenty years.  He has performed plays ranging from Shakespeare, Racine, and Brecht, to Paula Vogel, John Patrick Shanley, and Jenny Scharwatz.  Currently, Pedro is a leading actor on Portugal's popular TV show, "A Unica Mulher."

 

He has appeared in feature films which have been selected to the Cannes Film Festival (Misteries of Lisbon by Raul Rouiz) and the Toronto Film Festival (The Other Side of Ressurection by Joaquim Sapinho) and the New York Indie Film Fest (with the short film, The Dry Rain by Guillem Gutiérrez Saura).

 

​ ​In NYC, where Pedro has been living for the past four years, he has studied with Susan Batson, Marcia Haufrecht and at the LSTI.   New York Stage Credits -  Broadway:  Breakfast at Tiffany's directed by Sean Mathias.
