Stephanie Gardner (Writer/Director/Producer) is a New York City based writer and director for theater and film. Past clients include, Yale University, Urban Stages, The SaraJevo Philharmonic, Hillhouse Opera Company and Elie Wiesel. As a playwright, Stephanie's plays and musical comedies have been performed globally. Her short film, And If I Stay , premiered at NYC's Anthology Film Archives as part of the NewFilmmakers NY series, and was a selection of the International Festival of Cinematic Arts LA. In 2010, Stephanie created the Ten To One Films series, where she wrote and directed a film a month for ten months. Stephanie is a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied in Singapore and received an MFA in writing for screen, television and stage. Stephanie has a B.A. from The George Washington University in Dramatic Literature, Music and Creative Writing.
Shivani Khattar (Director of Photography) began to develop her foundation as a visual storyteller in theatre; winning several accolades in India for her work as a theatre actor and director. She received training under some of the greatest theatre legends in India including the late Shri Habib Tanvir. She then moved into film and video working as a freelance cinematographer and editor for documentaries, TV pilots and radio news features. She worked as an Assistant Producer at Spot Films, New Delhi an independent TV/ News Features Agency and worked for about a year in Northeast-India at the height of its militant insurgency; on a media project for DFID and Internews Europe to promote human rights awareness on issues involving the People living with HIV/AIDS in the region. She got her Masters of Arts degree in Filmmaking from NYU' s Tisch School of Arts Asia where she received the NYU Graduate production award for her thesis film ‘Noor’ as well as the Paulette Godard Scholarship two years in a row. During her time at NYU she shot over ten short films, narrative and documentaries that have been screened at international film festivals including Palm Springs International Film Festival, South by Southwest, Salt Lake City International Film Festival and Clermont Ferrand. She is one of the founders of ‘Films for People’, a film company involved in the production of socially relevant films in South-East Asia. In addition she is also involved in shooting an independent documentary feature about the sex industry of Cambodia titled ‘Night Mothers’ in addition to developing a feature script that was shortlisted for the Cannes Residence du Festival in 2012.
Matt Garrity (Music Director), drummer, has been on the New York City music scene since 1994. He has performed with some of the best in the business, including, Vincent Herring, David Williams, Teri Thornton, Gary Versace, Ron McLure, Ben Monder, Ratzo Harris, Jeremy Pelt and Jeroe Richardson. Matt attended William Patterson College's Jazz Studies program in the early nineties. He has studied with renowned performers/educators, John Riley, Horace Arnold, Rufus Reid, Harold Mabern, Carl Allen, Bill Goodwin, and Ed Shaughnessy. Matt has performed all over New York in such notable venues as The Blue Note, Birdland, Smalls, Smoke, Minton's Playhouse, The Jazz Standard, The Kitano Hotel, and The Knitting Factory. He has also toured the U.S. including Northwest tours with pianist, Clay Giberson; a summer jazz series at The Baltimore Museum of Art with Grammy winner, Vincent Herring's Quartet; Midwest shows with master bassist, Percy Jones; and West Coast tours with the prolific pianist and composer, Joel Forrester.
Currently, Matt is teaching at The Henry Street Settlement in Manhattan.
